Phishing Alert

Please be advised that some members of Sun Center FCU may have received a text message or phone call stating that they need to call a non-credit union phone number for various reasons.

If you receive a phone call from 000-000-0000 with a recorded message telling you to call to activate your debit card, DO NOT call this number.

If you receive a message from 1-888-918-XXXX asking you to verify the security on your Visa debit card do not respond. The caller may say they are from Sun Center.

Please report this to a Sun Center FCU employee as soon as possible. If you did respond, please call use immediately so that we can take the necessary steps to protect your card and account.

The text messages looked similar to this:

THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 440-788-XXXX or 440.XXX.8037.

or

National Credit Union AHTNF Alert 128734, Please call 907-782-XXXX.

PLEASE REMEMBER Sun Center FCU does not send text messages to members. DO NOT respond to the text message. If you did respond, please call us immediately so that we can take the necessary steps to protect your card and account. If it is after business hours, please call 888.918.7860 to report the ATM or Visa Debit Card as compromised.
